According to reports, during an interview with GQ magazine Tom cruise revealed that he plans to eat the placenta and umbilical cord of his newborn child. Said Cruise “I’m going to eat the placenta. I thought that would be good. Very nutritious. I’m going to eat the cord and the placenta right there.” Cruise is apparently egger to digest the afterbirth after reading of the nutrients and vitamins it contains. Now The Velvet Hot Tub prides itself on its journalistic integrity, but the story has passed our standard for authenticity: it was published on the internet, there are quotation marks, and it’s not the first of April. no joke - this stuff happens. But it usually happens within cultures with centuries old religious beliefs and rituals and not by mid-life crisis hollywood uber-freaks …
