Tom Cruise Buys Holmes for $40 Million
May 3rd, 2006Celebrity Gossip
BREAKING NEWS, VHT EXCLUSIVE: After months of negotiation, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have agreed on a $40 million pre-nuptial agreement. The deal was brokered between Cruise’s lawyers and Holmes’ father Martin, a divorce solicitor. The contract guarantees Holmes and daughter Suri $14.5 million in the form of a trust, regardless of whether she marries Cruise. According to the Daily Mail, the negotiations are the reason Suri was born out of wedlock. The paper explains “the discussions took so long the couple’s plans to marry before their daughter was born had to be put on hold.” [source] The $40 million dollar payout for the role of Tom Cruise’s wife far exceeds her $500,000 salary for playing the role of Pamela McFadden in 2002’s Phone Booth.

So what, if someone made Tommy boy an “indecent proposal,” how much would it take? $60 million? $70 mil?
I want to know. If only I did the interviews.
