German superstar David Hasselhoff has finally spoken publicly about being caught crying during the final episode of American Idol… blaming the public display of emotion on his best friend. The actor/singer explained, “What moved me was the person sitting next to me is my best friend–he has brain cancer. It was his birthday and this was his present.”

Pardon? A man is dying of brain cancer and you waste 2 of the remaining hours of his precious life on a glorified karaoke competition? Are you trying to get him to commit suicide?
